The city of birds
Bird sanctuary set up by the Vendée Department and covering 56 hectares.
Consisting mainly of two ponds, this sensitive natural area is a must for observing a large number of birds.
This reserve is ideally located since it is on one of the largest North-South migratory axes and benefits from the influence of the large wetlands of the region: the Grand Lieu Lake, the Breton Marsh, the Bourgneuf Bay, the Poitevin Marsh and the Aiguillon Bay.
The Cité des Oiseaux allows you to observe a large number of water birds and birds of passage from the observatory, the belvedere or simply by walking the paths of this natural site.
