In the heart of a green area
Within a radius of about 60 km around the Domaine, in two departments (the Vendée and the Deux-Sèvres), come and discover this diverse region.
Composed of fields surrounded by coppice, hedges or groves, the bocage is above all a natural landscape. The bocage is conducive to the development of isolated farms or hamlets and has few major towns.
Crossed by the Sèvre Nantaise, the high bocage extends from Montaigu to Pouzauges. Dominated by the Mont des Alouettes, it offers an authentic landscape of the Vendée culture. A little further east, the low bocage stretches from the Breton marshes to the Atlantic Ocean and the Vendée plain.
This immense territory is crossed by the two Lays rivers. Its heart is La Roche-sur-Yon, capital of the department.
